Belize 2010_25

Today is Karlene's last day and we have not been able to kite up to Mexico Rocks yet so Matt came up with our plan for the day. We drove the boat up to Belize Legacy, that is just North of Mexico Rocks and launched our kites from their beach. I had the GoPro on my kite, the wind was light but we made it work. The plan was to kite around there as long as we could and the kids would downwind back to our place while madre' and padre' drove the boat. Karlene was trying her best to stay up wind but it was tough. I asked madre' if there was a plan and she said Matt told her that he was going down to Karlene. I figured it was time to downwind and headed towards them as Matt was coming back up wind to get me.

We made it all the way back to our place with no problems and Karlene asked if we could go further all the way into town, off we went. We landed at Central Park with no problems and packed up. The parents showed up right behind us. We took the gear to the boat and decided we would try the Blue Water Grill for Lunch, they were closed until 6pm so we went to Fido's instead. Lunch was delicious, I had a fish quesadilla and Matt had a calamari salad that he turned into a taco by ordering an extra tortilla. After lunch it was once again time for ice cream.

As soon as we got home we got ready for Jam Night at Legends or better known as "Karlene's going away party" ;) We were taking pictures outside with our bikes almost ready to leave when dad and Gino show up in a rhino. Gino's guitar wasn't working so they came to get dads guitar, we all poked fun at Karlene. I had Gino take a picture of all of us before they left. When we got to Legends we ordered some Cajun fries and dad came out saying that not much was working in there (the band equipment). The band had to improvise and they did a great job. Tanya the steel drum player went back up and really got it going again, she is really good her drum has such an island feel. We got kicked out at the regular time (whatever that is?) and we weren't ready to quit so we went for a swim when we got home.
