Utah in the Fall of 2015

We normally visit our family in Utah over Christmas break.  This year we decided to try a different time of year.  Winter in Utah is awesome but we struggle with the severe dry air, we always get sick, and everyone seems to be so busy.  We decided on a September trip this year and it couldn't have been better.  Weather was perfect, dry and around 80 degrees.  Don't have a lot to say just gonna show some photo's of our trip.

Zavory did great on his first plane ride.  Loves to look out the window just like is daddy!

Loving Kenny Rogers by the lake.

Sleeping on the job. We did several hikes and Zavory did great.  We hiked goblin valley and arches national park in one day.  One day mile count of 13, not bad for a 4 month old.

The Devils Garden.

Double O yo!

Goblin Valley.

Landscape Arch.

We've been to Southern Utah many times but have to say it's amazing every time.

Belize 2015_11

Matt took some really beautiful underwater shots with the GoPro this trip

We really took advantage of the paddle boards. Matt said follow me so I can take some pictures of you in the blue water so of course I fall in trying to turn around and in front of a boat of course! The captain raised his hands as to say "I didn't do it!". He could see me laughing as he passed by.

After lunch dad dropped us off in the cut so we could play in the swell and drift straight home with the wind. It was really fun and scary so I stayed on my knees in the swell that the GoPro didn't capture at all.

 Drifting home
My sexy man with some awesome clouds

That was fun!

Nice view dad stopped to take a snap of outside Grand Caribe
The sargasso seaweed piled up almost over night and buried our kite bar pole attachment for self launching so we had to dig it out
Dad moving a pvc pipe filled with concrete look at those muscles! Don't ask me why he was moving it ;-)
A rainbow after the rain
"Stairway to Heaven" Dad got some locals to form up some stairs for us to get into the water easier, they are fabulous!
Easter Sunday we were invited to a potluck and so we stopped off at the Palapa Bar for a drink and Matt made his way downwind on the paddle board. You can barely see him in the line of light blue to dark blue water.
Sunny perfectly content in her mama's arms with the sea breeze cooling her off.
He made it!
He had quite an upwind battle after a huge Easter meal. He made it with legs quivering!
A big thanks to my madre for taking some maternity pics of me. xoxo

The Saturday before Easter we packed up the boat with all of our toys and went on an adventure. After a quick bite to eat and some errands to run (including buying some bread and a toaster oven of all things) we drove to the south end of the island.
Kind of hard to make out, but behind Matt it looks like a mangrove farm with perfectly organized baby mangroves starting to grow.

This cut was super easy to paddle board through

We don't think the fisherman liked us too much!

Sandy spit and a little bit of wind = happy boys

Madre enjoying a very easy paddle around
I love how she is perfectly color coordinated with her equipment (must be where I get it from)!
 Off she goes!

We weren't really expecting much wind especially on the backside (west side of Ambergris Caye) but because we brought kites we might as well give it a go! We all agree its one of the prettiest kite (if not the top) spots on the island.

Belize 2015_8

We found ice cream!!!! Not just any old ice cream...homemade (Coconut & Chocolate). Notice dude in the corner missing a shoe. His flip flop broke and he was trying to find some to buy but this little store didn't have any for him. The closest place we could think of was town which was maybe 6 miles away!
 The boy is growing
The nurse hard at work digging out a piece of coral on Les's foot
