La Parguera

We finally booked a boat with Puerto Rico Kiteboarding Club to take us out to the mangroves in La Parguera. Our guide Joel was friendly, helpful and educated us on the area.
The girls enjoyed hanging out on the boat while we kited
The kite launch
The wind was a little light for me so Joel invited me to go snorkeling with his other two clients. He pointed out Cayo Laurel off in the distance, this is the island we would camp on that night.
Puerto Rican escargot
Too bad I didn't have Matt's spear gun! Lion fish are a nuisance and need to be killed.
Finally got to our own deserted island, time for a beer.
Boys being boys
"No mama, I'm not eating anything"
 Chili Dogs!
Go figure, we're on the south side of the island (in the desert) and it pours on us! Karlene getting creative to stay dry...
Having a whole island to explore is tiring
 Pica-boo I see you!
 Our clothes line
 Hermit crab city!
 "Oooh whats this?"
 "Hi mama!"
