We knew we had to take Barnes to the rainforest but knew we didn't want to take him to the waterfall trail that we take everyone because there are just to many people. I gave him a list of the trail descriptions and he says "We have to do El Yunque Peak, the longest hardest trail of them all". Should have know better! I thought it was actually easier but yes it was much longer than La Mina Falls trail that we usually go on.
This is were we almost lost the girls. Kristah caught onto a scent (some critter ran across the path), probably a mongoose. Her and Sin's were barking up a storm not listening to us and suddenly it went dead silent! We knew there was a cliff and hoped they didn't slip off it because they wouldn't come. It was proably a minute or less when Sin's and then Kristah showed up but it felt like an hour!
