Belize 2015_5

 Gorgeous butterfly in our garden.
 Orange on Orange natural camo.
 Star of the show!
For Bill my in-law.  Texan A&M.
Katina and the Boy get a ride!  Hope he's taking notes.
Loads of wind this year in Belize.  I rarely get to use my 9 meter (small kite) here seems to be 9 meter for the morning shift.  13 meter for the evening shift!  For the non kite educated viewers the kite size we use is relative to the strength of the wind; bigger wind, smaller kite.
Tricks on a smaller kite has it's benefits but also hurts more when you crash.
This is a new trick for me.  I can't name it till I can claim it which hasn't happened yet.
  Shifty!
Blistered hands from kiting so much.  Boo Hoo play hard pay hard.
Decided to go for a nice evening out.  I was craving pasta.  Katina had stuffed grouper.
 Satisfied the craving.
Collar and Pants type of place.  I did roll my pants as a show of rebellion!  That's how I ROLL! ;-)

Belize 2015_4

Heading out to snorkel on a non windy day.  Look at the color of the water in the back ground.  Its like tea!
This a new type of sea grass we've never seen.  It's striped like a zebra.  Very cool.
As a whole it seems the reef may be in better shape than a few years ago.
So many Reef Fan's, and grasses!
 I see you...
 Teaching Les to SUP!
 Good.
 Good.
 And Gone!
So much to see in the water compared to sitting in a Kayak.
This bird has a beautiful skirt of feathers.
Les progressing quick.  Checking out the view.
Selfie, with my friend the bird.
Les had a great time his first day of SUP'in.
 looky looky.
 Katina checking out the life.
 On the move.
Down goes Les.  Katina like to watch.
 Thats what SUP.
 Too close.
 Lookin for lunch.
Smiling at the end of a ride.
 Racing myself.
 Happy Dog.
 Fetch.
 Follow Me.
 Joranamo!!!
Just because!

Belize 2015_3

Just another day out cruising the warm waters here in Belize.  I'm on a 13 meter kite this day.
This is Les, Katina's dad.  He's trying out my boot board.  Like I mentioned in earlier posts I'm new to boots.  Les liked it but has reservations.
I'm just hang'in out today.  I decided to take the day off from kiting and take a few photo's of Les.  My hands are blistered and my body sore.  In much need of a break.  We've been here for 10 days.  To tally the score I've kited 8 of 10 days.  1 super powered 9 meter day.  1 moderately powered 11 meter day.  3 well powered 13 meter days.  3 frustratingly light wind days, able to stay up wind but no power for anything else.  The other two days were filled with Stand Up Paddling out to the reef.

Belize 2015_2

Dinner at the Rain Restaurant.  Awesome coconut shrimp.

Paddle Boarding, it was gusty wind which made it difficult.  Water is green from the invading sea weed we are unhappy about.
 Evening kite session.
I was happy to use my 9m kite which is small for Belize.  Wind was 25-30.  Fun but gu,gu,gusties!

I was up before any of the other crew so I stuck the go pro in the sand and these are a few shots it got.  Images are blurry cause the go pro fogged and was splashed with water droplets.
End of a fun session.  The nasty invading seaweed in the background!
I'm riding boots this year which is a huge change from straps.  So far so good.
 Teague Pilcher's Lolly PoP!
Progression has it's sacrifices.  Gusty wind so far.  Still waiting for the epic freestyle wind!
Water here is only about 18 inches deep.  Needless to say this one hurt!!!!
